All the Colours of the Rainbow

As far as I am concerned my first tie-dying venture was a success!

It was great walking past the other fields buzzing with beefy serious players wearing matching shirts with there number and team name printed on the back. To add to the intimidation they were wearing shin pads- the shinier the shin pads the better the player. But there we were, scrawny kids in tie dye shirts rocking up with only half the team there and only a handful that actually knew the rules.

The closest I got to actually kicking the ball was kicking a big guys foot which I don't think he felt but to me it felt like my foot had snapped in half.

TIE-DYING BONANZA

Yes I am well aware that I have been a slack blogger and therefore dismal friend but let's move past that.

This afternoon I TIE-DYED!!!! A hyphenated word that yells out fun!

My uni soccer team, 'Unbalanced Funk', have settled on tie-dyed shirts in order to be a greater distraction. Running up and down the field in bright colours to divert attention is the best strategy we have come up with thus far.

I feel like I have had a deprived youth. With ex-hippy parents and a colourful upbringing involving regular trips to Nimbin and Byron Bay you would think I would be a connoisseur in the art of tie-dying. This would be a big fat lie because apart from the one time I was assigned official rubber band tie-er when dying our school shirts I have never had a crack at it.

So this could be a terrible disaster but we shall find that out in 24 hours. That  is plenty of time for me to praise myself on my work before finding out it was a fail.

Last Day at GJ's

Today was my last ever day at Gloria Jean's Coffee. It was ever so sad/exciting with lots of hugs, food and even a card! Two minutes before I officially knocked off my heart started racing and my hands got clammy. It was the thought of being the newbie all over again at the bottom of the food chain. Being top dog at Gloria Jean's is so easy. It is my equivalent of fat pants and Oreos on an ugly Sunday. On Thursday I start at Cue Clothing Co. and for once in my life I am going to have to be sophisticated and stylish. Hmmm...
